Sengunthar Charitable Trust is registered in the year 1995. The trust has established its niche in the field of education. The trust's venture "Sengunthar Engineering College" is dedicated and committed to quality and excellence in Engineering and technology pursuits. It renders its reliable services to the national cause of improving the quality of life of our people with importance to the betterment of rural people and their economic development .The college has reputation for high standards of discipline.

Tiruchengode is an entrepreneurship town with a cluster of textile mills, lorry building workshops and rig works. All modern facilities are available in this town and it is well connected to important cities like Erode (20Kms), Salem(45Kms), Namakkal(35Kms), Karur(55Kms), in all directions. The textiles manufactured in this region hold very good export market.

Away from the crowd and the don bustle of heavy vehicular traffic, silhouetted against a picturesque and panoramic landscape where one can see replete with buildings, the college is located at the foothill of Nagagiri and the Shrine dedicated to Lord Arthanareeswara which is situated at the top of the hill. The College is at a distance of 3Kms from Tiruchengode on the Tiruchengode-Namakkal road in Kosavampalayam with a landscape of 45 acres.

The College has commenced its maiden voyage from the year 2001-2002 with an ambition of providing excellent technical and entrepreneurial training to the rural people. The College has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore.

The College is functioning in six three storied buildings with spacious class rooms, well equipped seminar hall, drawing hall, computer laboratories, libraries, hostel and other infrastructural facilities satisfying the norms of AICTE. Each department is located in separate buildings with all Engineering and Computer laboratories.

Mr.Jansons.T.S.Natarajan, President Sengunthar Charitable Trust, Tiruchengode is a versatile genius who diligently strives hard to bring to forum the innate abilities of youth from the rural back ground. He is the Founder and Chairman of Jansons Group of Companies, Tiruchengode, Jansons School of Business, Jansons Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, Jansons MRI Diagnostic Centre, Erode and Heritage Granites, Sankari. He is the Syndicate member of Periyar University, Salem. With his fervent and energetic support Sengunthar Engineering College produces students of rare breed. All the inimitability is unearthed through his dexterously designed programmes at the pertinent point of time from the students to synchronize them to sprout out with a style of their own. His craftsmanship transforms the institution as a blissful abode where the students gather all graces. He aspires to remove the long spell of hibernation in the field of education among the rural throng. He stands apart from all by sowing the right seeds in the society as an Educationalist and entrepreneur.  A value is required.

Mr.T.P.Arumugam, Secretary & Correspondent Sengunthar Charitable Trust, Tiruchengode is an ardent admirer of idealism who ever works with dedication to translate an innate sense of aesthetics into education and learning. He was an Ex-Municipal Chairman of Tiruchengode for a period of 10 years, Ex-MLA of Tiruchengode Constituency, Senate Member of Periyar University and Secretary and Correspondent of SET since 1991. His altruistic and benevolent concern for the people in the society is distinct and exceptional.
He heralded exquisite schemes to meet the need of the bright inquiring students with radiating ambition. His caliber is hard to find and he is the store house of wisdom and reservoir of knowledge.
